Challenge Cards to Start the Week!

Happy Monday morning everyone!

I was a bit under the weather this weekend, but did

manage to find some time yesterday to do a little stamping.

I combined a few challenges for this card:

JUGS - make a 3-d flower

CR84FN - color challenge

Sweet Sunday Sketch

my card:

Card Details:

Stamps: Pure Innocence digi, saavy sentiment

Paper: Sahara Sand, Choc Chip, White, SU dp

Misc: Copics, Rhinestones, pearl, ribbon

3-d flower info

to make my 3-d flower - I used some ruffled ribbon and did a loose stitch

along the length of it, then pulled the thread tight and stitched it together.

I then cut out a circle of the matching dp with a nestie and then cut it into a swirl

pattern and rolled it up and glued both pieces together,

and just added the pearl in the middle.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......

The day has finally come!

My very first card has been published and I couldn't be happier!!!

It is such an exciting experience, and a goal I set out to accomplish last

year at this time (it was a New Years Resolution)

I'm published in this wonderful magazine -

it went on shelves today, and you need to run (not walk) to wherever

you get your magazines and buy one!!

The cards in it are absolutely gorgeous!!!

Help for Katie

This papercrafting community is awesome!

Below is info on a fundraiser for the wonderful Katie Renz!

Katie Emmerson Renz married to Kevin with 3 beautiful boys the twins Nate & Will aged 5 and Hunter aged 10 had some news just before Christmas that has rocked their world as they know it.

Katie has been diagnosed with stage 4 Stomach Cancer and is currently undergoing her only option which is Chemotherapy.

Katie is a fellow crafter and is loved within the crafting community.

I took the day off and cleaned out my stamp room and did

all kinds of chores around the house!  It felt wonderful to get all of this stuff done!

So, when the stamp room was cleaned and the dust cleared....

I had time to stamp!

Happy 2011 to You!

It's so hard to believe that we are in 2011....

Gosh I remember 1999 like it was yesterday!

But here we are....on the first Sunday of the New Year,

and I wish each any every one of you a blessed, happy and healthy 2011!!!

I had every intention of posting my "NEWS" yesterday, but the day got away from me....

Korin has asked me to be on the Sweet & Sassy Stamps DT!

Of course, I  had to say yes!!

I met Korin back in October in York at the Stamp Show,

and what a sweetheart she is.  I'm so happy to be on her team,

and be in the company of so many fabulous stampers!
