A Wonderful Color Challenge

ok....who loved the color challenge on SCS today? Pink Pirouette - Chocolate Chip - Riding Hood Red....they all rock!! I used my new Verve stamps that I just got. If you haven't tried Verve out, you really should. They stamp absolutely wonderfully! Of course, I was in a "blingy" mood tonight, so thats how all the pearls and brads ended up on there. I can't get enough of these pearls! I think I almost have them in every color available!

Unity Inspirational Blog Hop

Welcome!!! Hopefully you started your blog hop here.. UNITY if not...you'll wanna do a little backtracking and start there. I hope you enjoy the card I made for todays Blog Hop. I got the stamp from LuvLee back at Christmas time in a swap.

It is the Love Builds A Home stamp. I colored it with my copics...which happens to be my fave way of coloring at the moment. The card base is a pre-embossed card that I purchased. Ribbon is from PHH All other paper is Stampin Up.

We are supposed to include our favorite quote on here....mine is from my 11 yr old son.....everytime I tell him I love him he says................

"I love you more!!!"

Thanks for stopping by my blog, now hop on over to

blog and see what she has in store for you. I'm sure its something spectacular!!!!

My father in law is in FL for the winter, and had plans to come home the first of April. We got a call from my mother-in-law Friday night that he had a stroke and was in the hospital. We are waiting for him to be transferred to a rehab hospital. He'll spend some time there until he is stable enough to fly home. We're all anxiously awaiting his return.

I needed to make a card for him, so decided to use todays sketch challenge on SCS. I love this card! The brads in the corners and on the sentiment are actually little "screw" brads, they are adorable.
Thanks for stopping by and please keep my fil and mil in your prayers! Thanks.

My OCC Challenge Card

I hopped on the OCC blog today and loved the layout so I figured I'd play along. I got this image thru WRAK, it is from Verve. (I'm waiting for my first every Verve stamps to arrive, btw.) Anyways, I'm lovin how this one turned out. I still have no oval nesties *sigh*, so I had to use my Creative Memories cutting system, which works fine. I pierced around the white oval piece. The patterned paper is Basic Grey. Of course the pearls are from Limelight, and the ribbon is from Pinkhedgehogpapercrafts. Those two places rock for all your bling needs!

I just got some images of Sophie from the WRAK thread, and I must say that she was such a joy to color.

I've affectionately been dubbed the "Princess" on the Chat Box Chicks Chit Chat thread over on SCS. Although I like to believe I'm part redneck...being born and raised in Bedford County, PA....apparently I emit some "princess like" tendencies! So when my husband and I were in Vegas last month, we mosied on over to Viva Las Vegas Stamps. I happened upon this Princess stamp and he insisted that I buy it!

I don't know abou the rest of you, but little Sophie makes me want a pedicure!

Thanks for stopping by today.

A Riley for Johnny

A few years ago, my little brother Johnny was working for my cousin trimming trees. I got the call at work that he got hurt with the chainsaw....apparently cut his arm pretty good. Soooo...when I saw the new Timber Riley stamp....it was one of those stamps that you knew you had to have. So I ordered it and made a card for my brother. Notice the stitches I put on Rileys arm. I can't wait to give this to my brother.
Thanks for swinging by and checking on my blog today!

Sympathy Cards

My uncle died recently and I needed to make some sympathy cards for the family. Ever since seeing Michelle aka: sf9erfan's Mothers Day Cards I've been wanting to case them. This is what I came up with.

I used to do some beading and I have a TON of beads I can use on stuff like this. It was a lot of fun. I also hadn't used this stampset in a very long time, so it was nice to get it out and blow the dust off of it.

I do have some good news though....I'll be participating in the Unity Blog Hop on March 28....so you'll wanna be here or be square!!!
