Ribbon Carousel Holidays and Celebrations

RCC87 Holidays and Celebrations Challenge Week 4

Hey there!  Welcome to this month's challenge, which is going to be so easy, you'll be able to enter almost ANYTHING you make!

November's celebrations still to come, America's Thanksgiving Day and Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights.  Then of course, there are Birthdays, Anniversaries, and even TGIF counts as a celebration!  Next month is Christmas and then New Years, and I've even seen Valentine papers and stamps out already! OH MY!  So whatever YOU are celebrating, please share your creation with us!

This month's theme is...you guessed it.....
Holidays and Celebrations!
Don't forget to stop by and check out what my
teammates have created:

Ribbon Carousel Blog

So what prize is up for grabs? How about a Ribbon Carousel?!
Each month we are giving away a Ribbon Carousel to one of our randomly chosen challenge participants! Just a reminder that our Ribbon Carousel Crewmates have divided up into FOUR teams. Each week you will see fresh projects for this months challenge!

There are only three (3) rules you must follow to be eligible for the prize:

  1. You MUST use ribbon, twine, thread, washi tape, wire or anything that comes on a spool on your creation
  2. Your project must be based on the theme of the month.
  3. You must add a NEW project to the inlinkz below and link directly back to your project on your blog or online gallery. (Unfortunately, we've had participants who would have won the challenge, but they didn't do a direct link to their blog and I couldn't find their creation!)
Check out some crafty eye candy from our talented Crewmates for a little inspiration before you link up your project at the bottom of this post!

Here is my project:  I decided to make a quick and simple
Christmas tag.
 Quick?  No!  Simple?  No!
Could it have been?  Yes!!

I was about to throw my Silhouette out the window
until I got the cut file right, but I'm glad I hung in there!

I used one of my new Unity Stamp of the Week stamps,
isn't this snowman adorable??

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and can't wait
to see what you come up with.

Don't forget, we have a HUGE sale going on over at
Ribbon Carousel  If you've been wanting one, now is THE time
to take the plunge!!!

Day Four of the Ribbon Carousel Blog Hop

Fun fun fun all this weekend at the Ribbon Carousel Blog!!
We are ending a 4 day blog hop showing you how the team
uses their very own Ribbon Carousels!

I LOVE using mine for my twine!  (aren't those little spools darling)

I'm also starting to acquire a bit of washi tape,
and it is PeRfEcT for that!

Would you like to win your very own Ribbon Carousel? Here is what you need to do: Visit the Designer’s blogs that are participating in each day of the blog hop and comment on their posts as you go. One of the Crewmate’s Holiday blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner
will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Crewmate’s Holiday Blog Hop post.

You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more Crewmate Blogs you comment on, the better your chances are of winning your very own Ribbon Carousel! The Blog Hop will be open until 11:59 PM Eastern Time Monday, November 25th with the winners being announced Tuesday morning on the Ribbon Carousel Blog.

Already have a Ribbon Carousel?  Share a photo of YOUR Ribbon Carousel on our FaceBook page OR email it to info@ribboncarousel.com, and we'll share it for you!  You'll be in a special drawing  for your choice of a Ribbon Carousel or 4 packages of spools!

For those that want a Ribbon Carousel NOW! Mark your calendar! We'll be having our LOWEST SALE PRICE of the YEAR sale on the Ribbon Carousels and Spools beginning Wednesday, November 27 -Cyber-Monday, December 2!

No coupon code needed!  Just go to

and a seat......and have fun hopping with us!

The FAB-U-LOUS Angela from Unity Stamps
sent us each a note asking if we'd like to participate
in a customer blog hop.   Ummmmm....YEAH!!!
So, here we are....all showing you
our love for ALL things Unity!!

Me, and all of these sweet ladies-

I love my Unity Stamps!  Love, love love them!!

weeks ago and I'm amazed at what I get for the
mere $5.79 I pay (that includes shipping)!
You just can't go wrong!

Seems like Ang is ALWAYS running a sale too,
so it feels like I'm ALWAYS shopping there!!
Check out the current sale -
55% off - wHo dOeS tHaT?????

I'm playing with some of the newest releases!
I put the name of the set right under my cards,
with the links, so you could find it quickly to
go ahead and buy it!
(you can thank me later!)

This one shows one of my favorite sentiments
from the set!!!

Thats not washi tape you think you see, its pieces from the
stamp Hope Builds Courage.  I colored the washi tape
looking parts with my Copics and cut them out!!
How cool is that?

Just a masculine looking card, don't ya think??

Another fabulous sentiment!!!

Who doesn't love the fun little hexagons that are out there now?

I hope you loved all my inspirations, and I've
convinced you that you NEED some Unity!!

Especially during the 55% off sale!

You'll definitely want to hop along and leave plenty of
comments!  Gonna be lots of winners of a great
grab bag of Unity Stamps!

Moxie Fab Thanks Blog Hop!

There is a HUGE blog hop going on today to
wish the best of luck to Cath Edvalson, and
to say thank you.

Cath has been such an inspiration to so many people
in the papercrafting industry, it's truly sad to know
that she is leaving.  However, this isn't goodbye,
it's just a "see ya later!"
We know she'll still be out in blogland.

What an honor it is to be a part of something like this!
So, get a beverage, sit back, and prepare to be
amazed at the talent you will see on this hop.

You should have arrived here from -

I did some paper piecing on this one, and

CAS Color Throwdown Challenge

Time for a challenge.
This weeks CAS challenge over at
Splitcoaststampers is to use stitching or faux stitching.
Since I'm too lazy to drag out my sewing machine, I
opted for the faux stitching!

I love the color challenges over at the

This week, the colors are especially gorgeous, don't ya think??

I decided to use my brand new

I was subscribed to a monthly stamp club, but I just don't need
any paper, ribbons or embellishments.  So, I decided to go with
the SOTW over at Unity.  It's only $5.79/week and that
includes shipping!!

my card:

I colored the Christmas ornaments with my ink pads and a blender
pen.  I used my copics to color the tree trunk, and to just make a few
"swipes" onto the branches of the trees to give them a bit of color.
I also took my sparkly gelly roll pen and went over the bows as well
as the sentiment.  It gave it just enough sparkle.

Recipe:
Stamps: Unity SOTW
Paper: Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler, White, BG Wassail dp
Ink: Versafine black
Misc: paper piercer, copics, gelly roll pen, star wood veneer
