The Greeting Farm Challenge

Hello!

Big things happening here - I GOT A JOB!!!
Yay me!  I'm very excited to get back into a daily routine.
Seems when I'm home, I tend to do a whole lot of nothing!

I recently purchased the Colored Pencil class from Kit and Clowder,
and WOW!!!  I'm so glad I did.  I've just started the class,
and I've learned so much.  In fact, I'm using my image on
today's card.  This card is for the challenge over at

My card -

Stamps:  TGF Cordelia digi, Paper Smooches Gently Seasoned

I hope you'll also come play along, and be sure to check
out the classroom over at Kit and Clowder too!

Just For Fun Challenge

Hello all!
I hope wherever you are, you are having a great day!
If you are in the northeast, I hope you love snow!  We have several inches
on the ground here in central Pennsylvania, and it is kinda nice, I gotta admit.
Although, since I'm not working right now, I don't really need to go anywhere,
so I'm allowed to say that.

Today's card is for a new challenge that is out there.  It is being coordinated by
my stampy friends Giovana and Lee Ann.  It made me think outside of the box and
get out some supplies that I hadn't yet opened!

Just For Fun Challenge

Here is the challenge:
In our project, we challenge you to use at least two mediums from this list:
ink, acrylic paint, gesso, gelatos, spray inks, embossing paste,
colored pencils, watercolors, chalks, pastels
And one or more from this list~
fabric, glitter, chipboard, metal, ephemera, washi tape

Here is my card -

I used watercolors, embossing paste and glitter.  For those of you that don't know it,
I hate glitter.  I can't stand when it gets everywhere!  However, I sucked it up and used
it for this card.

I hope you've enjoyed this, and I hope you play along with us.

Have a great day.

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Happy Monday!!!  I hope you are having a splendid day, and that you are ready to see TONS of inspiration from a TON of super talented ladies.

A bunch of us are doing a blog hop today with a coffee theme, in honor of National Coffee Day!

I don't know about you, but I NEED my coffee in the mornings, or you don't even want to be around me!!!

We thought it would be cool to answer a few coffee questions, so here goes.....

1. When did you start drinking coffee?  I can't even remember when, but I do know it was a very long time ago!!

      2. What is favorite brand (you can name up to three).  My absolute favorite is Starbucks, hands down!

3. What is the most amazing coffee that you had? Remember where and when?  I'd say my most amazing coffee is the 1st one I have every morning....seriously!

4. If I don't drink my needed coffee, I will.....  I really can't even think about this.....I'd hate to see what would happen!

Did I  mention that we have prizes??  We have 15 prizes to be exact - and winners will be drawn at random from all comments on the blogs!!!  Thanks to these fabulous sponsors:

Here is my card:

Happy Anniversary CASE Study

Welcome to the 4th Anniversary Blog Hop #4!!

It's hard to believe how long it's been since I was on the CASE Study Design Team.  That was such a wonderful time of crafting and seeing all of the lovely ladies creations, it almost seems like a lifetime ago!

For the entire month of August, CASE Study has been featuring our former Muses and past and present Design Team gals.  After perusing all of the projects shared, we invite you to join the challenge and create something of your own inspired by one of the pieces of artwork.

The Blog Hop participants are sharing their latest inspirations and how they translated them into the paper craft wonders.

To sweeten things up a little bit more, we're offering prizes to those who complete the Blog Hop, by leaving comments on every blog

I can't believe it is soon September!  I feel like this summer has just flown by, and I'm sad to see it go!  I love EVERYTHING red/white/blue!!  Like seriously LOVE it!!!  I was browsing Pinterest, and found several photos that I got my inspiration from -

I used my card kit from Simon Says Stamp.  I seriously love the my kits from SSS.  I read somewhere a few months ago that when you are applying sequins to a card, you should just hold them above the card, let them fall and adhere them where they are.  That's how I've been applying sequins!!  I love the variety of sequins at Pretty Pink Posh!

Enjoy checking out what these lovelies have created for your viewing pleasure -

Julie Smith - you are here

To be eligible to win prizes, be sure to leave comments for everyone along the way, then link up your name on the CASE Study blog. The sponsors this week are Clearly Besotted Stamps, Verve, Ellen Hutson, and Waltzingmouse Stamps.  Comments will be open until September 2nd at midnight EST.

If you want to play along with a CASE of your own (you can CASE any of the cards on the hop), head over to the CASE Study blog for that, too.

Happy Anniversary, CASE Study!

Sketch For You to Try

WOW- it's been over 2 months since I've posted anything on my blog!  Guess I've just not had much to say.  We had this past week off of work, didn't go anywhere, but had a very relaxing week at home.  I do so LOVE not being on a schedule!  I like to wake up
when I want to, drink my coffee, check email, etc at my own pace in the mornings.  I do kind of feel my mojo returning.

I haven't felt like stamping much over the past few months, and it seems like a lot of my "stampy" friends have been going thru the same thing.  I'm glad to be getting the urge back, since it is my therapy and stress reliever.

My card today is for the SFYTT Challenge

Here is my card -

I love this new set from Reverse Confetti - So Very Special and the new die cut set called Tag Me Too!
Loving them both!!!

Watercoloring Class

I signed up for a Watercoloring class online, and
I'm finally getting a chance to play around a little bit.

I used my Sakura koi watercolors for this card -
I applied them directly to an acrylic block,
 stamped them onto the paper,
and then added some water to them.
The paper is Tim Holtz WC paper, and it kinda totally
rocks!!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog -
I'll keep posting my practice cards!

The Card Concept Challenge

I decided to play along at
this week.
The challenge was to use an umbrella.

I pulled out my Unity Hodgepodge of Happiness -
which hasn't seen ink in a VERY LONG TIME!

Here is my umbrella card -

I've been pulling out my Copics more and more lately...
I got rid of most of mine about a year or so ago,
and only kept my favorite colors to play with.
I may need to add a few more to my collection.

I definitely went with the clean and simple approach with my card,
which is what I mostly stick to.  Every now and again, I'll
think outside the box.
The umbrella is paper pieced with Fancy Pants
Park Bench designer paper.
I'd LOVE to have an umbrella like hers,
wouldn't you?!

Thanks for stopping by today - I appreciate it.
