Curtain Call

How quickly can a week seriously go?
I turn my back and the week is gone!
How many of you have had that happen?

Anywho.....its on to another Curtain Call Challenge.
I gotta admit, these colors scared me!
I'm not a pastel, bright color kinda gal!
So I wondered.........
"what in the heck am I gonna do with these colors?"

But it came to me easy.....so my lesson for you is....
don't fear the colors.....embrace them!  *smile*

As always, the amazingly talented design team will
be rocking the internet today!
Be sure to check out what they've done!
These girls seriously rock!

ok....so on with my card!
I saw this awesome paper rose tutorial over at
As soon as I saw it, I knew what I was doing this week!

I'm loving how I can emboss with my nesties
without cutting thru the paper....

To get this effect, you put the rubber mat
under your paper...nestie on top of the paper, and layer
as you normally would for your machine.

Don't you love that??

Card Details:
Stamps: Delightful Dahlia - PTI
Paper: SU dp in pink, yellow and orange, green galore, PTI white
Ink: Versafine Black, Green Galore
Misc: Nesties, Glimmer Mist, strong glue to hold the flowers down!!

Its hard to see in the this pic, but I spritzed it very liberally
with my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist....LOVE THIS STUFF!
I don't have the Delightful Dahlia dies...yet, so I had to
cut out the leaves with scissors, it actually wasn't so bad.

Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

Super, Julie! Your flowers are so full and tight! The best I've seen! I love all flower techniques and this is one I haven't got around to trying yet! Can't wait to try it!

Oh, and the nestie technique, I'll have to give that a try too!
