Christmas Gift Set

So I got this idea that I wanted to alter a travel coffee mug. So I went out on my lunch break in search of one today. Jackpot at the Dollar Tree!!! So of course, I bought more than 1!

All I had to do was unscrew the top, cut the paper to the correct size and slip it in!! Piece of cake. That paper has got to be one of my favorites....its Basic Grey - Wassail. I then covered a mini composition book with the same paper, and took a piece and put it into the barrel of an RSVP pen. To finish off my gift set, I made a matching card. The buttons are also from BG.

The paper and buttons can be purchased at Limelight I prefer the 12 x 12 papers for altering things, but prefer the 6 x 6 pads when doing cards. The images are scaled down for the smaller pages. Although on this card, I did use the 12 x 12 paper.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Busy Productive Weekend

My sister came to town Friday and we had so much fun! We went out to dinner Friday evening with 2 of my super bff's! Saturday we got to work! We made our Christmas cards, which amounted to about 60-70 cards, we made breast cancer awareness cards to send to our friends, plus a few other misc cards. We made cancer bracelets for our family, along with a bookmark that detailed what all of the colors stand for.

Of course, we had to make our yearly double batch of homemade french vanilla hot chocolate mix....we double the recipe and then it calls for 21 cups of powdered milk....(thats quite a visual huh). The cute little bags in the right hand corner are for single servings of it, there is a label on the back saying what it is and how to make it.

We also covered about 5 composition books and a sketchpad for my niece, oh and we made each of my nieces 2 bracelets.

It was a crazy busy weekend, but it was so much fun!

Buck Season and Some Unity

Its Friday Friends with Flair over at Unity. Be sure to check out all of the blogs today....someone will win some rubber!

It's soon going to be Buck Season here in PA and this stamp from Unity is perfect for that! BUT...its also perfect when your brother-in-law's name happens to be Buck! Ok, its not his real name, but it's what everyone calls him. I love this Cosmo Cricket dp, and though it went will with the stamp to make the perfect birthday card for "Buck!"

The edges of the dp and the sentiment are sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

Recipe:
Stamp: Buck Fever from Unity
Paper: More Mustard -(god I love this color), chocolate chip, and Cosmo Cricket dp
Ink: Soft Suede
Misc: paper piercer, ranger distress ink, nesties, scallop punch, dimensionals

Friday Friends with Flair

Its Friday Friends with Flair over at Unity. Be sure to check out all of the blogs today....someone will win some rubber!

My card is made with the Hodge Podge of Happiness set. First, I stamped the poinsettia and cut it out with a nestie. I then stamped it in red and green several more times and cut the pieces out. Then I just used my mono multi and glued the layers on. The middle is done with liquid pearls and I put just a dusting of iridescent ice embossing powder on it. The bottom edge piercing was done with a template from the Crafters Workshop, and its finished off with a gold eyelet and some gold cord from Pinkhedgehog

Recipe:
Stamps: Hodgepodge of Happiness from Unity, Season of Joy-sentiment
Paper: Old Olive, Real Red, White
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive
Misc: Gold cord, paper piercer, gold eyelet, nesties, liquid pearls, II embossing powder

Thanks for stopping by today. Enjoy your hop along the rest of the blogs
