Unity Friday!

Today is another Friends With Flair Friday over at Unity. Make sure to check out all of the blogs for your chance to win some Unity stamps!

I knew I wanted to make a Christmas card for todays post, and I knew I wanted to use some of my new Jolly by Golly Cosmo Cricket paper from over at Limelight.

So I stamped the poinsettia from Hodge Podge of Happiness, and then cut it out. Next, I glued it onto a piece of black paper and then cut that out, leaving a very small amount of black around the flower. I then wanted to emboss it, so using my versafine pad, and some clear embossing powder, I got it all ready to emboss and fired up the heat gun. What happened next had me puzzled for a few minutes....because it was turning fuzzy and falling off instead of melting like it should have. So as I assessed the situation and tried to figure out what in the world made my embossing powder fuzzy.....it was then that I realized I was trying to emboss glitter!!! Sooooo....I brushed off my fuzziness, and tried again...this time actually using embossing powder. This time it worked, and I hope you enjoy my card.
